Winds Can Cause Damage to Your Swimming Pool Pump!

If you live in an area where you get heavy winds and your swimming pool is surrounded with trees your pool may look like this one in the photos or worse. If this happens and your pool service man can't go clean your pool the same day or the day after, it is important that you turn off your pump. What will happen if you don't is that your vacuum will get clogged with debris and it will not function properly. It will waste energy and it will not be cleaning your water. It also has the potential of burning out. So be sure to turn your pool pump off during windy conditions, your swimming pool will generally not turn green with algae if the pump doesn't run for two days. I recommend buying your own pole and net and if your pool man is not going to service your pool in a few days you can take matters into your own hands and take as much debris out as possible.
